Donor Highlight: Ned & Co.

We’d like to give a special SHOUT OUT to Ned & Co and Ret Taylor for their generous contribution to the GO WILD campaign.

We met Ret at one of our informative gatherings that we held at Justin Gold’s house. When we each shared our founding stories, we soon realized that we were very much aligned in our values around the important impacts of nature on each and every one of us.

Wild Bear and Ned & Co have a shared vision of fostering a connection to the natural world to reap the health benefits. Ret Taylor and Adriaan Zimmerman (co-founders) were inspired to create Ned & Co to produce simple and effective natural remedies that serve as a holistic first line of defense against common ailments.

Ret reached out to Wild Bear and helped us to become a qualified nonprofit through 1% for the planet. Now, Ned & Co is making an annual donation to the Go Wild campaign through 1% for the planet to achieve a naming opportunity for the new nature center.

If you are a 1% for the Planet qualified business, please consider Wild Bear Nature Center in your giving plan.

A LITTLE ABOUT RET AND NED & CO

Ret discovered CBD years before it hit the mainstream. After his mother’s cancer diagnosis, Ret decided to learn all he could about the natural remedies available. CBD was one of those remedies and Ret spent two years bouncing from one brand to another, never developing a true sense of trust with any of them.

Finally, in the fields of Paonia, CO, he met an organic farmer who practiced what he preached. Hemp oil was what gave Ned its start, but Ret and co-founder Adriaan soon realized that hemp was just one of thousands of natural tools that could help our community get better sleep, stress less and spend more time on what truly matters in life.

Today they work with small scale farms and companies across the US to source the highest-quality minerals, herbs, fungi, roots and more to help the community work toward their health goals naturally. Since Ret and Adriaan brewed up the first batch of Daily Blend in Ret’s garage, they’ve been fortunate enough to grow into a community that's thousands strong, but Ned’s core principles remain the same β€”

Keep it simple, keep it natural, only work with extraordinary people, and always think of the customer and the greater environmental impact.
